Singleton Maize Maze
General description
On its dedicated 12 acres site at Mount Farm the Singleton Maize Maze always has a suprise in store for its visitors with an annually changing and uniquely designed maze created in a growing crop of corn on the cob maize which grows between 8 and 10 feet tall, before it is harvested in October and used to feed the farm's herd of pedigree Simmental cattle.
This year visitors will be challenged and the children captivated by the very topical theme of the maze.
Over the many years the Singleton Maze has been rated as one of the major mazes in the North West - often being spoken of as an alternative to the attractions of its near neighbour Blackpool.
If you have never visited a maze before you will find it a truly different experience, unlike any other outdoor activity which not only presents a mental but also a physical challenge, not only for families but, increasingly, for groups, corporate events and evening parties. We request prior booking in respect of the later groupings, but just give us a call if you have any queries we are always glad to help to make your visit a rewarding experience.
Once again we have endeavoured to find a new challenge for the maze. We have achieved a unique design by some of the country's renowned and highly respected designers - Tom Hockaday & Angus Mewse of Mazescape. The maze has been designed with expert precision to offer fascination for all the family and a uniquely exhahausting and satisfying diversion for all children.
The Singleton Maze also enjoys the benefits of large indoor and outdoor play areas with masses of space for pedal go-karts; football; netball; basketball; hoops; trampoline; pedal tractors; sand pit; wheelbarrows; buckets and spades; and lots more for the children. Once suitably 'tired' from your exertions in the maze relax and take advantage of our many picnic tables and refreshment facilities, where we offer hot and cold drinks, freshly made sandwiches, local award winning ice cream, sweets and much more.
